It’s always said that girls cheat on their mates because they loose the so-called respect for them. It’s also notable that often men are blamed for making women think like that. Bullcrap! You could be the greatest man on Earth: the best lover, funny, sexy, a gentleman, and all that good stuff, but if she’s wired to cheat, she will, despite any efforts on your part. This actually isn’t about you at all; it’s about her. When was the last time you heard a woman say, “word is bond”?
Now, you must be thinking what I mean by “Branch Swinger”. Well, a Branch Swinger is a girl who won’t let go of one branch until she has a firm grasp on another. Means, that she will continue to look for options and will not leave you until she has a firm hold of another branch, the new guy. When she finds that grip, she will upgrade.
Here are a few highlighted properties of a branch swinger:
1.) R-D-I: The very first property of a branch swinger in RDI – “Roommate Did It”. This one single characteristic can help you find out if she is a branch swinger. You find an erotic e-mail she sent, you find her phone busy late night, you find bitchy IMs, but, there is one single excuse she has for all this – RDI.
2.) Boy-friends: It’s one thing for her to network for business purposes, but if she’s constantly befriending guys and going on “casual outings” with them, why is that? Old guy friends she had before she met you are one thing, but going out socially with other guys breeds unnecessary temptation. Why would anyone purposely set themselves up for failure? And if you’re uncomfortable with it and tell her so, and she reacts in a volatile manner, making it clear that she will continue to befriend strange men, prepare for the inevitable. This also shows the importance you have in her life.
3.) The Hmmm: If you begin to hear the “Hmmm” sound too often in your conversations, be alarmed! The point is, she doesn’t care if you’re around. In the phone calls, you are on for hours, but she more interested in people around her rather than talking to you; you end up with a conversation of hardly a few words over hours. Same when she meets you, she doesn’t want you to accompany her to many places. She just lost worth in you, or somebody is surely rubbing her so much better. You are no longer the guy she shares her problems with. She doesn’t care to share important things with you anymore. Rather, there is a new guy she shares all her emotions and time with.
4.) Honey I Shrunk My Hair: You have spent an age telling her she looks perfect the way she is or tried to suggest things you love, like long hair or just anything and for a few months she completely obeyed it. But suddenly, the things change. The haircut comes in suddenly in spite you constantly telling her that you love her in long hair, but its no longer about you dude. She just found a secret admirer.
5.) Running around in circles: Always be wary of anyone who refuses to answer the most straightforward of questions or answers them only after making you repeat them twice. It’s a classic example of the mind searching for a lie. So if your girl gets all crazy when you ask simple questions about why it took her so long to get back from work, she may be hiding something… or someone.
6.) You’re a Doggie: When she is constantly making accusations about you cheating on her that hold no merit, they’re usually projecting what they are onto the other person. If she cheats and knows how easy it is to get away with it, guilt or paranoia might set in and she may, in turn, begin interrogating you if you show up 15 minutes late. A cheater has to continually contend with the possibility that someone may one day betray them in the same manner. The momentary act of cheating is usually much easier than the mental aftermath. If she becomes consumed with the suspicion that you cheated, and there is no reason for her to do so, it’s time for you to question why.
7.) Followed Me!: One hilarious property of a branch swinger is this line – “You were spying on me?”. This comes when she is confronted. Now, she maybe caught red-handed, but this is one line she will always say.
8.) MySpace: The social networking scene. Don’t take this lightly; this can crack your relationship in minutes. If you are uncomfortable with it, try talking to her. A branch swinger either won’t agree with you and continue her mating campaign or she will simply lie. She will always find a lie for each new guy she finds over a social network. Beware if your girl refuses to go public about your relationship over the network or have indicated that she is single. If your girl understands that this can and is causing trouble in the relationship and she still is continuing it, you can tell her to find another branch now because you want to keep yours free of critters.
I don’t exactly know what make “most” girls a branch swinger, but it surely have something to do with the way they are wired. I have learned that women are emotional junkies…they are slaves to their own emotions. For a woman, love is just a feeling. But for a man, or at least for me, love is a commitment you make in SPITE of your feelings. It is a decision “for better or for worse” to work things out, no matter what. But I can’t count on a woman to make that kind of commitment. She is a woman - she will go with her feelings. As soon as she doesn’t feel “in love,” all bets are off! Because of this, I no longer trust women. I don’t think they can be counted on for truth or fidelity…thus cannot be respected either.
Girls do aspire to the “If no one knows about it, it didn’t happen” mindset. Regardless of what they do, if no one knows about it or they didn’t get caught, it didn’t happen and they will go to their death claiming it didn’t happen.
My point is not that all girls are same, the thing is, I never met an exception. Before falling in for a girl, think twice, cause it may just cause months of pain and regret later. They always want to upgrade and believe me, there always is a better rubber out there. So when going in a relationship, be prepared for all the pain and sleepless nights. It’s a bad bad world.
